Salt Spring Island, British Columbia

So, here I am. I went from living in the city of Vancouver, to moving to the magical Salt Spring Island.

Why do you ask?

I had a baby! And my loving partner, Nic, grew up on Salt Spring and always dreamt of raising his children here. Plus, I really had no desire to raise a child in the city (no offence to anyone that does! It just wasn’t for us.)

So here we are. Almost two months into living on the island, and I’m feeling pretty great about it: I’m digging the slower pace of life, I’m digging all the space we have to roam around (moving from a 1 bedroom apartment to a 3 bedroom house will have that effect!), and I’m really digging the amazing sense of community on Salt Spring.

Anyways, with all this change in my life (new baby, new house, new town…) I figure hey, why not keep this ball rolling?! And so I’ve decided to make a bit of a change with my business. Instead of primarily focusing on fine art photography, I’m making the move to photographing people! But more on that, later…

I must run, but I hope that you’re enjoying the rain, snuggled up with a cup of coffee (or 3), and watching the wood fire burn, baby burn.

Until next time,

Steph
